We at Renaissance hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying safe in the extremely difficult times we find ourselves in. As the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) intensifies and evolves daily, we feel our work is needed now more than ever. We want to reassure you that we are continuing to offer all our vital services across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen. In addition, we are currently working dynamically to create a partnership approach and a directory of much needed services, we hope by doing this we can offer increased and targeted support to our most vulnerable groups and to those whom are deemed at risk or self-isolating. Our support services, such as Drug and alcohol outreach, Harm reduction interventions, non-clinical sexual health support, HIV prevention and social care support and Changing Futures Project are all running with extra safety planning and risk management from our teams. Unfortunately, our LGBTQ+ support groups have been cancelled until further notice; however, our group lead and volunteers are offering virtual and telephone support on a daily basis.
Our top priority is, as always, the safety and well-being of our service users, supporters and staff at this difficult time, we have put into place extra services such as telephone and virtual counselling which you can access by calling the office on 01253 311431 or by calling your key worker directly. We will also be delivering much needed medications, food parcels and harm reduction packs to all our service users in need and working with Blackpool Housing to ensure our street homeless and IV drug users are able to self-isolate in suitable accommodation.
We want to ensure everyone is kept informed with the latest information, therefore you will receive regular texts and phone calls from the team here at Renaissance to provide you with the latest Public Health England and Government advice.Your key worker will also be staying in touch with you and ensuring you have continuity of care at this time, our office remains open for telephone support (01253 311431) and needle exchange services only, please stay safe and keep talking to us.
These are the steps we have put in place:
No service or project has been suspended, please contact keyworkers and project leads by email or telephone
