The Staff, Volunteers and Council of Management would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and a Safe New Year. Message from the Directors of Renaissance UK

This year has been a turning point for REN-UK. We pulled together, seized new opportunities and have started working on an ambitious new long-term direction for the charity. None of this work would have been possible without the extraordinary support and commitment of our current partners and commissioners within Public Health and Local Council teams, as well as the outstanding efforts of our staff, volunteers, managers, Trustees and Service users.

This year has seen a significant improvement in our charities stability as well as a big focus on staff health and wellbeing, becoming a more Trauma Informed service and re-investing in our main building at 102 Dickson Road with considerable works taking place to improve not only the working environment and service user spaces but also investing in the restoration and repair of the building.
A Blackpool strategic focus has been concentrating on our work with Multi Disadvantaged individuals, Dame Carol Black’s review of drug services published in 2021 re-focused our Horizon and ADDER services. The government published a policy paper “From harm to hope: A 10-year drugs plan to cut crime and save lives” to announce their plan to “cut crime and save lives by reducing the supply and demand for drugs and delivering a high-quality treatment and recovery system”.
Significant work across all areas has begun on Local HIV and Sexual Health Action plans, we believe going into 2023 we will be well ahead of the game when it comes to re-structuring our services for these projects as well as starting some new work in partnership with Public Health in Improving Local health and wellbeing services for our LGBTQ+ communities.
A real year of learning and re-direction for the charity, while keeping in line with our values and core vision and mission.
Thanks as always to our supporters and all the staff and volunteers without whom the charity would not excel as it does. We would like to take this opportunity to with all of you that are celebrating, a Safe and Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

Kind regards

Shelley & Julia
